 COSTUME N.3 Juli/august 2024

 

COSTUME magazine is a reference in Norway, related as a daily lifestyle recommendations media support, with style inspiration, exciting guides and unique stories in fashion, beauty, housing and culture. all covered by experts in the field.  COSTUME is covering most of the event in Norway, Copenhagen fashion weeks, Paris Fashion weeks and many more... We were very honored to be part of some editorials in some covers and cover stories. 
Costume magazine Came out with several looks from the Rebirth of the princess. It was natural for us to talk about it in this article. Costume is a very important actor in the industry in Norway. Let's take a retrospective on different looks in several issues.

2022 FIRST COVER...

At that time, post covid was a positive way for us to (re)think about the concept. Already recognized by the industry in Norway, booked for several styling via Vana Perisa, founder of the concept and owner of V Luxury Consulting Service.  
The rebirth of the princess concept  was starting another process to give more visibility and a unique experience. 

January 2022

The redaction with the stylists decided to have one piece from the store. We were really happy that editorial chose to have the dress on one of the covers for this issue. Another fact that we appreciate with the Costume magazine issues. Covers are as an artwork or as a collector item ! What a good work done by the redaction to let the readers choose their magazine's covers in the stores. 

  

COSTUME N5 october/November 2022

 

Taking at the end of winter in Norway the same year, and facing the oslo Fjords. The photographer took a picture that makes the Alexandre Vauthier's dress timeless.  

 

 

Desiree Mattsson is a very interesting photographer that we were willing to collaborate with at Costume magazine. Published in Vogue, Vanity fair, ELLE, NUMÉRO, British Vogue, Vogue Germany, Vogue Arabia, ELLE US, Harper´s Bazaar US, Aquazzura, Pat Mcgrath labs, Mac Cosmetics, Hindash cosmetics, Hervé Léger.... Her Vision of fashion is very artistic. Her works plays  with the light, colors and reflections.  An epic work done in the collaboration with the norwegian make up artist  Linda Wickmann.
Linda Wickmann started her makeup career in 1999 when she joined Westminstre College in London with a degree in Makeup and Hairstyling.
After four years in London working with fashion, advertising and feature films, Linda moved back to Oslo to continue her career within makeup and hair. Her work was featured in ELLE magazine, Vogue, Harpers Baazar, W mag, V magazine, Interview, Aquazurra and many Norwegian brands.
She launched her own makeup school in Oslo in 2020, under the name LW School of Makeup and founded LW.agency, an agency for her graduated makeup and hairstylist students.
Being part of those magazine issues was a real way to show a new Scandinavian area. The way that the pictures are taken, the stories with the stunning locations are absolutely amazing, but also inspiring. It is great to see the Scandinavian savoir-faire in a industry that requires every time  to be as creative and as closer to the readers, as we are also closed to our clients in the same time. It is remarkable to be part of this journey with important actors in the field. 

 

2023, Nomination at COSTUME AWARDS 2023 in category best store in Norway. 

Probably the biggest surprise of the year after the opening of the new store in June 2023 at Sommerro Kvartalet where were obviously focused on offering a new shopping experience.
This feeling and this little echo from the industry that is focusing on a retail experience was well appreciate and motivating. No exceptions at all, only happy to see the visibility of the hard work done to offer a new retail experience in Oslo.
By the same period of the year we discovered the cover collector of the September issue 2023 with a  dress from the Couture Collection of the Designer Alexandre Vauthier. The Photoshoot was taken in Paris after the shows.

This is a project that was for us an amazing illustration for the dynamic of the store and the industry in 2023 in Norway. What an amazing idea by the redaction to have a issue with Twins.
